When Destination Vancouver’s Dine Out Vancouver team told us that they needed to get people out to restaurants after the December holiday season when Vancouver restaurant and hotel bookings were traditionally very slow, and they needed to do it in a way that provided equal opportunity to participate to all of their partners while ensuring that the benefit of this campaign could be tracked, Travelzoo came back with an omnichannel plan.

Travelzoo worked with Destination Vancouver partners to curate, publish, and market restaurant and hotel offers specific to the festival. Powering the hotel and restaurant bookings through the Travelzoo platform exposed to would-be patrons through an i-frame on Destination Vancouver's Dine Out page and various Travelzoo channels, including dedicated real estate on the Travelzoo platform (see below), allowed Travelzoo to report campaign results clearly while minimizing effort for the client.

The program worked so well that it was renewed for more than 4 years in a row, and to other slow seasons, allowing Destination Vancouver to prove the efficacy of their Dine Out Vancouver program and marketing support for participating restaurants- something they hadn’t been able to do previously.
